Same-Day Dentures in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area
These dentures are made prior to the day of surgery. Patients will come for a work-up appointment 1 week prior to surgery so our specialized prosthodontist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area can take impression and photos of your facial profile and smile line. They also allow you to pick the size, shape, and color of the teeth; the denture is customized to your desire.
On the day of surgery, our specialized prosthodontists will extract remaining teeth and root tips, remove any infection and clean the gums while you are IV Sedated. Our specialized prosthodontists will then deliver your prefabricated same-day denture. Do keep in mind this is a temporary denture and possibly will need to be relined. After 4-6 months a final denture will be delivered once your gum and bone tissues have completely healed.
Premium Custom Dentures
Even if you have lost all of your natural teeth, an attractive and natural smile is still within your grasp. With custom dentures, your dental provider can restore both your confidence and your appearance with a full set of teeth that are durable enough to keep up with your busy lifestyle.
The ability to design a custom denture requires great skill and artistic talent on the part of your dentist. Not only must the final result fit well and stay in place, the denture must also appear completely natural.
As you move throughout your day, you do not want to look like an advertisement for dentures. In other words, you don’t want people to see your dentures; you want them to see you.
To ensure that you receive the smile that you are seeking, every aspect of the denture can be customized including:
- The shape and size of the teeth
- The color and anatomical details of the gum tissue
- The position of the teeth
The custom fit of the denture can be achieved with the help of dental impressions. Models or molds of your upper and lower arches are critical to the denture process. These dental records are used to capture the shape, size, and contour of both your hard and soft tissues.
A custom denture is designed only for you. Ultimately, your new teeth will be as unique as your personality. With proper care, you can enjoy your new smile for many years.
Establish healthy home care habits such as cleaning your denture thoroughly each day and after meals. Avoid abrasive toothpastes and brushes. Enjoy the foods that you like, but remember that your denture teeth are not indestructible. Just like your natural teeth, they can fracture or break when subjected to extreme forces.
